I didn't think I would like this movie, so I kept passing by watching it. Then one day I found it in a bargain bin and my best friend told me I just had to watch it with him. Since he hardly ever chose the movie we bought and watched, I got it for him and honestly, I wound up truly liking it a lot. Guess he knew me better than I knew myself.

This movie was a total flop in cinemas, unfortunately it was released the same week as Jurrasic Park and everyone went to see that instead, However i think it was awesome and didnt get half the credit it deserved. A big budget, great stars like dennis hopper and jeanne tripplehorn, and a great idea. I loved it 9/10.

I obviously watched a very different movie than some of you...might amuse a very small mind but this was a really bad movie...usually like his movies and an interesting idea but very poorly executed, bad acting, bad writing, bad movie. 1/5

This movie is one of my fave movies of all time! Kevin Costner is a superb actor. I own this and recommend it to all.

I Agree with you MrGreed this movie does rule and it makes no sense for it to have a bad rap...I guess some pople dont like movies that got it all..the drama,the a$$ kickin action, the hero saves the day..and so on and so forth..Anyway I used to have it as a kid its a all time gooder..

I remember when this film came out, it destroyed costners reputation as a arrogant power hungry sob.However, watching it again, i realize this film has a Quality look to it. Its a good film , regardless of the 150 million budget(a record at the time)
